ArtNewsBlog has written an article about – “Robert Genn’s latest newsletter he is talking about personal coaches and the value that artists could gain from them”. The article talks about how Robert is not an art coach but believes in them and brings some very good, holistic thought to what artists need to look at for their own lives and productivity and heath. As an art coach I would add a few simple things to Robert Glenns wonderful list - one would be very specific about your goals - in selling art, the amount of money you want to make and the date and times that you will have your goals accomplished. Another thing is accountability – have people in your life other artists would be great and share your goals working together to hold each other accountable. For what happens to all of us is that if we are not accountable we will falter…. it is human nature – but if we are accountable to some one else that it affords us to push and get it done in a way that by our selves we would not. As an art coach I do that all the time for people, and I have accountability partners in my own life as well. I want to thank ArtNewsBlog for introducing me to Robert Glenn and than Robert for his empowering input – subscribe to his news letter below and enjoy – best Chuck
Art Online: How to Help Buyers Find your Artwork
Please check this article out by Dan at Business at http://emptyeasel.com - the article is very clear and what is also important is that Dan tell you to stick to it for 6 months and I believe that to be incredible important and often missed as strategies go – What I mean to say is this with all the many options to promote your work on and off line you need to have a set plan and a commitment to carry out that plan with accountable goals. So you know that you are spending an hour a day doing it…Working the plan and making it happen. So often we can set out with great aspirations but are never able to achieve what we set out to because we did not structure a plan for our selves, we did not create a map and break it down to a everyday every week, month scenario…
Dan’s out line is great but for it to work you need to structure out a clear time line and do it – some times like your life depended on it for it to give you the results you so desire and rightly deserve…

Art Coaching is Essential!
If you are starting out in the art marketing world, able to see and acknowledge other points of view, value them, and learn from them is essential.
There is a great post at artbusiness.com by Alan Bamberger where he says
Before you can get representation or a show, you have to understand how people who sell art for a living think, what they need, and how you can give it to them.
To do this, you need to be part of a mastermind group. Artmastermind.com is a group designed to introduce you as an artist to an ongoing community committed to self-development and financial success.
